Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for long-haul and regional routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and comply with FMCSA regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and time management
- Handle hazardous materials (HAZMAT) certification preferred
- Build client relationships through professional on-site interactions
- Utilize GPS technology for real-time navigation and route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass DOT physical examination
- Strong knowledge of Jacksonville metro area and Southeastern US highways
- Flexibility for overnight stays and variable schedules
- HAZMAT certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
