Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) across designated routes
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip for compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging (ELD) records
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Adapt routes based on weather conditions and traffic patterns
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Complete required paperwork and submit daily reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years' verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Michigan roadways and DOT regulations
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Basic navigation and smartphone proficiency
