Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van/refrigerated) within Boston metro and surrounding areas
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and DOT compliance documentation
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Represent Boston Logistics Solutions with professional conduct at client sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial trucking experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Familiarity with Northeast corridor routes and traffic patterns
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Basic computer skills for ELD systems
- Strong attention to safety and punctuality
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings
