Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul deliveries across Texas and neighboring states
- Maintain meticulous trip logs and ensure DOT compliance documentation
- Safely load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance checks
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Texas roadways and weather conditions
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Flexibility for overnight stays (2-3 nights per week)
- Strong time management and communication skills
