Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated) for local/regional routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and pre/post-trip inspection protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging systems
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Secure cargo and maintain vehicle cleanliness between trips
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate manual transmission
- Strong knowledge of Chicago-area roadways and traffic patterns
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional weekend shifts
