Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A/B) for long-haul and regional routes across NY/NJ/PA
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and strict safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS systems while meeting tight delivery schedules
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs promptly
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork for all shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with NYC/NJ traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong communication skills and time management abilities
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend shifts as needed
