Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional freight delivery
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems for on-time deliveries
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance needs
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route conditions and delivery status
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of California highway systems and regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Basic navigation skills and familiarity with electronic logging devices
- Excellent time management and customer service abilities
