Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (vans or box trucks) along assigned delivery routes throughout New Orleans metropolitan area
- Load/unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques and equipment operation
- Maintain accurate delivery records and digital manifests via tablet technology
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and resolve delivery inquiries
- Adapt routes efficiently to accommodate traffic patterns and delivery priorities
- Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with route delivery background
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate basic warehouse equipment
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and digital delivery tracking systems
- Strong time-management skills with ability to meet tight delivery windows
- Knowledge of New Orleans metropolitan area and surrounding regions
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
