Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods on designated routes throughout Chicago and suburbs
- Load/unload merchandise efficiently using proper equipment while maintaining inventory records
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and handle client inquiries professionally
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform daily inspections, and report maintenance needs
- Optimize route efficiency using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery issues and update delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience with route delivery background
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and operate pallet jacks/dollies
- Strong knowledge of Chicago area roads and navigation systems
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Basic computer literacy for delivery documentation systems
- Commitment to safety and punctuality in all delivery operations
