Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across Ohio and neighboring states
- Adhere to DOT regulations, pre/post-trip inspections, and strict safety protocols
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and maximize efficiency
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and customer updates
- Inspect and secure cargo to prevent damage during transit
- Represent Apex Logistics with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic familiarity with GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
