Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across San Francisco and surrounding Bay Area routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient delivery routes while adhering to traffic regulations and delivery schedules
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and any issues
- Maintain electronic logs and comply with FMCSA regulations
- Represent the company professionally in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with freight/hazmat endorsement preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Bay Area geography and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging systems
