Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks/trailers) for regional freight transport
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs (ELR compliance)
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adapt routes for weather/traffic conditions while meeting deadlines
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Uphold company safety standards and DOT regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- DOT medical certification current
- Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Strong knowledge of NJ/NYC metro area
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work varied hours
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
