Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, tractor-trailers) for regional and long-haul routes
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs (ELD)
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Optimize routes for efficiency and on-time performance
- Communicate proactively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse teams
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years commercial experience)
- Hazmat endorsement preferred (training provided if needed)
- Strong knowledge of NJ/NYC metro area roadways and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening (required)
- Flexibility for overnight/weekend shifts and variable routes
