Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-provided freight vehicles for local/regional routes
- Load/unload cargo using provided equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and pre/post-trip checks
- Adhere to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route optimization
- Represent MetroFreight Logistics professionally at all client sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of NJ/NY metro area roadways
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
- DOT medical certification current
