Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight over long distances while adhering to DOT regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Collaborate with dispatch for real-time route adjustments
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of diverse cargo types
- Represent the company with professional conduct at all client sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Pass DOT physical and background check
- Familiarity with Houston metro area routes
- Strong time management and communication skills
- hazmat certification preferred
