Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight between distribution centers and client locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation while adhering to DOT regulations
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and secure shipments per safety protocols
- Document delivery status and handle paperwork with precision
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment updates
- Uphold company safety standards and defensive driving practices
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting
