Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across the Richmond metro area and surrounding regions
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Accurately document delivery paperwork and maintain electronic logs
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize route efficiency and on-time delivery
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Communicate effectively with logistics team regarding route challenges
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Richmond area routes and Virginia transportation regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
