Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) to transport freight on established routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Plan efficient delivery routes while adhering to DOT regulations and delivery schedules
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and secure loads according to safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding shipment status and delays
- Complete all required documentation (BOLs, delivery confirmations, mileage logs)
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of NJ/NYC traffic laws and route planning
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Professional communication skills for client interactions
- Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, and weekends
