Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van and refrigerated trailers) on regional routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment and maintain secure cargo
- Document delivery status and maintain accurate logs via ELD systems
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and on-time delivery
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Hazmat endorsement preferred (training provided if not certified)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and operate loading equipment
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with GPS technology
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend work as needed
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent time management and communication skills
