Responsibilities
- Operate Class A tractor-trailers on dedicated regional routes from Bakersfield to major West Coast hubs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Safely transport specialized freight with zero-accident record maintenance
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient load planning and timing
- Maintain professional communication with clients and warehouse personnel
- Document all delivery paperwork and handle electronic bill of lading
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean driving record (no DUIs or serious violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and GPS navigation
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Previous experience with flatbed or tanker trailers preferred
