Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) to transport freight according to DOT regulations
- Plan and execute efficient routes while adhering to delivery schedules and deadlines
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Collaborate with dispatch team to provide real-time updates and resolve route issues
- Ensure proper loading/unloading of freight with appropriate handling techniques
- Represent Swift Logistics with professionalism in customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and overnight trips
