Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53ft dry van reefers) for regional routes
- Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS and dispatch systems
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document vehicle condition
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and DOT compliance documentation
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for smooth loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years commercial experience)
- 2+ years freight/hazardous materials transportation experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in GPS navigation and electronic logging systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend schedules
- Valid TWIC card (or willingness to obtain)
