Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, dirt, and debris to job sites
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and local traffic laws
- Coordinate with site supervisors for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Maintain clean, compliant equipment through daily maintenance routines
- Support emergency response operations during inclement weather
- Utilize GPS navigation for optimal route planning and timely deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial dump truck experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varied weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in basic equipment troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills for team coordination
- Knowledge of San Diego County construction zones
