Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and aggregates
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload materials at job sites using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies
- Plan efficient routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and team members
- Complete required paperwork including delivery manifests and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of dump truck or heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to obtain DOT medical certification and pass background/drug screening
- Strong knowledge of local Fort Wayne roads, industrial areas, and construction sites
- Physical ability to climb equipment, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying weather conditions
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for vehicle inspections
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
