Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks for material transport (gravel, asphalt, construction debris)
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections and maintenance documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with foremen for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Maintain clean driving record and logbook compliance
- Assist with minor equipment troubleshooting and basic repairs
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years dump truck or heavy equipment experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge of dump truck systems
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Flexibility for early morning start times (5:00 AM)
- Knowledge of Charlotte area road networks preferred
