Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages, documents, and medical supplies across Sacramento County
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain recipient signatures
- Optimize daily routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely arrivals
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate delivery status updates via mobile app to dispatch team
- Handle fragile/temperature-sensitive packages with specialized care protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and delivery tracking systems
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Pass background check and drug screening (company-provided)
- Basic knowledge of Sacramento street grid and traffic patterns
