Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles for time-sensitive deliveries throughout Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures upon request
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to ensure on-time deliveries
- Handle fragile or high-value packages with specialized care protocols
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch team in real-time
- Adhere to all Michigan traffic laws and company safety regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and navigate urban traffic efficiently
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery software
- Strong time management skills and punctuality focus
- Pass background check and drug screening (company-provided)
- Knowledge of Detroit Metro area streets and landmarks
