Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport packages, documents, and medical supplies
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain proper signatures for all shipments
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries
- Communicate professionally with clients and dispatch teams regarding delivery status
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading shipments and inventory management
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and operate in all weather conditions
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery software
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service abilities
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of Chicago neighborhoods and traffic patterns preferred
