Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver time-sensitive packages and documents throughout Charlotte and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain recipient signatures for high-priority shipments
- Optimize daily routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals and fuel efficiency
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service through professional communication and problem-solving
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and priority deliveries
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with delivery background preferred
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Familiarity with Charlotte metro area and major thoroughfares
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery windows
- Professional communication skills for client interactions
- Pass background check and drug screening as per company policy
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery tracking apps
