Responsibilities
- Safely transport time-sensitive packages, medical specimens, and legal documents within Orleans Parish
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and real-time GPS tracking updates
- Provide exceptional customer service through professional communication and on-time deliveries
- Perform vehicle safety checks and basic maintenance reporting
- Adapt routes dynamically for traffic, weather, and priority deliveries
- Handle specialized deliveries requiring temperature control or security protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and delivery tracking systems
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans' geography and traffic patterns
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime
- Pass background check and drug screening (required)
