Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport goods in and around New York City
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Coordinate with dispatchers to optimize routes and meet delivery timelines
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Adhere to all NYC traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Assist in unloading cargo when necessary at designated locations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of professional truck driving experience
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Must be 25 years or older (insurance requirement)
