Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers (Equipment Provided) on assigned regional and interstate routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight securely, adhering to safety standards and weight limits.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Ensure the safety of cargo and passengers at all times while navigating various road conditions.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial truck driving experience.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no DUIs or serious traffic violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of DOT hours of service (HOS) regulations.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive motions.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
