Responsibilities
- Safe and Efficient Delivery: Operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages to customer doorsteps in a timely and professional manner.
- Merchandise Handling: Load and unload merchandise from the delivery vehicle, ensuring items are secure and accounted for.
- Customer Interaction: Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and provide a high level of customer service during every stop.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is clean, safe, and road-ready.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary delivery paperwork and logs.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Clean Record: A driving record free of serious violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills in English to interact effectively with customers and dispatch.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Technology Proficiency: Ability to use handheld scanners and delivery apps.
