Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-provided commercial vehicles for regional freight transportation
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques to ensure safety
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logs (ELD)
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules and deadlines
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of freight handling and securement procedures
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Flexibility for early morning starts and regional overnight trips
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues
- Must be at least 23 years of age
