Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided box trucks for local/regional freight delivery in Durham, NC area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork for all shipments
- Ensure safe and timely delivery of goods while adhering to DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize routes for maximum efficiency and on-time performance
- Represent Durham Transport Solutions with professional conduct and customer service excellence
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Durham, NC regional geography and major routes
- Reliable smartphone with GPS navigation and mobile data access
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor equipment troubleshooting
- Strong time management and customer communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally as needed
