Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across assigned routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route conditions and delivery status
- Complete required paperwork including delivery confirmations and mileage reports
- Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance driving skills and safety knowledge
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain CDL-A or CDL-B certification (training provided)
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and documentation
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends
- Basic navigation skills or willingness to learn GPS systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
