Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to transport goods to designated destinations.
- Inspect vehicle prior to departure and upon arrival to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight limits and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and mileage in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks to prevent breakdowns.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain one immediately.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of navigation systems and route planning.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual tasks.
