Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently over assigned routes within the Chicago area and beyond.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling according to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B) through our paid training program.
- Must possess a clean driving record and pass a background check.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be willing to submit to a drug screen as part of our safety-sensitive position requirements.
- Basic math and navigation skills are essential.
