Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently to transport goods across Tennessee and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and potential issues
- Adhere to all federal and state transportation regulations (FMCSA)
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with clients and at loading docks
- Participate in ongoing safety training and performance reviews
Qualifications
- No prior truck driving experience required – we train motivated newcomers!
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Willingness to obtain Commercial Driver's License (CDL) through our training program
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and punctuality
- Basic math skills for load verification and documentation
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including early mornings and weekends
