Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and proper maintenance.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Follow assigned routes and adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while navigating city streets.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and complete all delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
- Uphold the company's high standards of customer service and safety culture at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or willingness to obtain one immediately.
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate a commercial vehicle across state lines.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Basic English reading and comprehension skills for safety communication.
