Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods to designated destinations in a timely manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage and ensure weight distribution is accurate.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Adhere to traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and schedule changes.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, such as checking tire pressure and fluid levels.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B).
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.
- Willingness to undergo company-sponsored training programs for new drivers.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic English proficiency for safety communication and documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties associated with loading/unloading.
