Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is secure and handled with care.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required (Class B considered for local).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Willingness to undergo paid training if no prior commercial driving experience.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
