Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers over assigned routes in and around Jacksonville, FL.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery records, and delivery receipt documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and delivery issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (or ability to obtain one through our training program).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor vehicle checks.
- Willingness to work varying shifts and travel within the region.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
