Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles over long distances while adhering to DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries
- Inspect trucks before/after trips to ensure mechanical safety
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
- Communicate with dispatch team and customers regarding shipment status
- Demonstrate defensive driving techniques in all weather conditions
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain CDL-A (training provided)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and logbooks
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to travel overnight and cross-country
