Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely across Texas and regional routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS technology
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Communicate with dispatch teams and clients regarding shipment status
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling techniques
- Represent Swift Transportation professionally at all delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable driving experience (or CDL school graduate)
- Clean MVR with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving) in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of truck mechanics and safety systems
- Strong time management and route planning skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Willingness to work nights/weekends and travel overnight
