Job Overview
As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across the El Paso region. This role is perfect for those seeking a stable career with opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on local and regional routes within El Paso, TX, and surrounding areas.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and secure cargo accurately, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and driver logs.
- Interact professionally with customers and delivery sites to ensure satisfaction.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than one preventable accident in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
- Basic math skills for weight and measurement calculations.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, if necessary.
