Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) on designated routes in compliance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues immediately.
- Load and secure cargo properly using straps and chains to ensure safety during transit.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and all required paperwork.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and other drivers to ensure timely delivery.
- Adhere to strict Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic English reading and writing skills for logbook and safety compliance.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Physically fit to perform the essential duties of the job, including lifting and climbing.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid Social Security number.
