Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to transport freight across the Western United States.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight limits and proper handling procedures.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including Hours of Service (HOS) and delivery receipts.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure a clean driving record.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain one immediately.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience (preferred) or a clean driving record.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no DUIs or major moving violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, road safety, and navigation.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and electronic logging device (ELD) management.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
