Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules and time windows.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery details.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B (or ability to obtain one quickly).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read maps and GPS systems.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
