Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across Texas and surrounding states
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Represent Swift Logistics professionally at all customer sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or commitment to obtain one
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic navigation skills and map reading ability
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Flexibility for overnight trips and variable schedules
